November 19 Observed as – World Toilet Day

Every year November 19 celebrated as World Toilet Day. For this year the focus has given to Toilets and Jobs. The main intention of the day is to make the people aware about how sanitation effects life and environment. Famous British band Coldplay along with stars like Jay Z, Demi Lovato and Bollywood actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan and many more celebrities promoted World Toilet Day at Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai.

Depending on the United Nations records around 2.4 billion people world wide are not using toilets. These people are commonly getting diseases because of unhealthy surroundings. Many people are dieyng of uncleanliness and sanitation. In this process children are getting most of the ailments. The theme in 2016: Toilets and jobs. 2016 years theme targets on how sanitation, or the lack of it, can effect on livelihoods. Toilets play very important role in making strong economy as well as improving health and conserving peoples safety, particularly girl’s and women’s.
