  • Buta Singh, former Union minister passed away. His age is 86 years.
  • DGCI gave the permission for restricted use in emergency times of 2 Covid 19 vaccines. They are Serum Institute of India’s Covishield and Bharath Biotech’s Covaxin.

4th January 2021, Current Affairs:

  • PM Modi launched National Metrology Conclave 2021 today through a video conference. PM dedicated the National Atomic Timescale and Bhartiya Nirdeshak Dravya to the nation and laid the foundation stone of the National Environmental Standards Laboratory.
  • 4th January The world Braille Day. We celebrate this day on the occasion of Louis Braille birth day who invented Braille.

  • Justce Vineet Kothari selected as new Judge of Gujarat High Court. Formerly he worked as CJ in Madras High Court.

  • New British High Commissioner to India is Alexander Ellis. He replaced Sir Philip Barton.

  • Five people (4 men and one woman) died who were shot by police men in American Capital hill attack by Donald Trump supporters.
  • PM Modi started world first Double Stack Long Haul 1.5 kms long Container Train which run by electric traction. This train will run between New Ateli to New Kishangarh through video conference.
  • Justice Hima Kohli is the first woman CJ of Telangana state High Court.

8th January 2021, Current Affairs:

  • The central government has merged Jammu and Kashmir cadre for all India Services with that of Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT).
