The Indian lawn bowls women’s fours team won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. In these games it the first medal for India.

Wild Life (Protection) Amendment Bill, 2021passed by Lok Sabha. Its main aim is to increase the number of species protected under Wild Life (Protection) Act 1972.

Suresh N Patel appointed as the Central Vigilance Commissioner. He take oath as  the chief of the probity watchdog Central Vigilance by president Droupathi Murmu.

Central Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2022 was passed by Lok Sabha through voice vote.

NV Ramana the chief Justice of India recommended UU Lalit’s name as next Chief Justice of India. Justice UU Lalith will be 49th Chief Justice of India.

Family Courts (Amendment) Bill 2022 is passed by Parliament today. Rajya Sabha approved the bill today. Lok Sabha already passed the bill.

5th August 2022, Current Affairs:

ATGM – Laser-Guided Anti-Tank Guided Missiles, which is built indigenous, test fired successfully from MBT (Main Battle Tank) Arjun by DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization).

On river Narmada, Madhya Pradesh government is going to start a world’s largest a floating solar project on Narmada river. The Madhya Pradesh govt signed a contract for the 1st phase of the project today.

6th August 2022, Current Affairs:

Indian wrestlers Deepak Punia (Men 86 kg), B ajrang Punia (Men 65 Kg) and Sakshi Malik (Women 62 kg) have won Gold on Friday. Anshu Malik got silver medal in women’s 57 kg category.

Jagdeep Dhanker is selected as India’s new Vice President. Dhankar is 14th Vice President of India.

PM Modi attended 7th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog in Cultural Centre of Rashtrapathi Bhavan in New Delhi.

Nallathamby Kalaiselvi selected as the Director General of the CSIR (Council of Schintific and Industrial Research). Sheis the senior scientist and the first woman to lead the consortium of 38 research institutes across India.
