Balika Samridhi Yojana BSY  for Girl children of India: It is a very good scheme for the Girl Childs who are born in India. Balika Samridhi Yojana BSY is a 100% Sponsored Scheme by central government of India to develop 100% central assistance to States/Union Territories to give benefits under the Scheme in accordance with the norms and conditions laid down by the India’s Central Government.

Balika Samridhi Yojana for Girl children of India-Objectives Of the Scheme:

To change the mind set of negative family and community attitudes towards the birth of girl child at and towards her mother.
To increase the enrolment percentage and holding of girl children in Indian schools.
To increase the marriage age of girls.
To assist the girl to undertake income generating activities.
To help the girls well to achieve good career.

Balika Samridhi Yojana-BSY-Fundamentals:

The girl children eligible under BSY will be entitled to the following benefits:
Girls who are eligible for the Balika Samridhi Yojana programme will get the following profits
A post-birth grant amount of Rs.500/-.

When the girl child born on or after 15/8/1997 and covered under BSY, starts attending the school, she will become entitled to annual scholarships as under for each successfully Completed year of schooling:-

The girl child who is born on or after 15-8-1997 and covered under Balika Samridhi Yojana and when the girl child starts schooling, she will become eligible to take scholarships annually at the ending of each successful academic year of her schooling.

BSY-Girl child Class and Annual Scholarships:

Rs.300/- per annum–Ist to – IIIrd class
Rs.500/- per annum–IV class
Rs.600/- per annum–V Class
Rs.700/- per annum–VI and VII classes
Rs.800/- per annum–VIII class
Rs.1, 000/- per annum –IX-X classes

Balika Samridhi Yojana (BSY)-Eligibility:

The main aim of this programme is to increase the living status of Indian girl childs. BSY programme gives the economical supports and provokes the girls to joi n the schools.

BSY-Who are Eligible:

Girl Childs who are born after 15-08-1997. Girls childs parents should be below poverty line
The families who have maximum 2 girl Childs can get benefit from this programme.
Girl Childs will get annual scholarships annually through their accounts.
In the first class she will get Rs 300/-
It reaches to 1000/- when she is X class
When the girl turns 18 years and if she not yet married then she will get the money
