1ST August 2020 Current Affairs:

  • Muslims celebrated Baqraeed all over India today with devotion.
  • Amar Singh died at his age 64 due to illness.
  • One Nation and One Ration card program included to 4 more states. The four states are Uttarakhand, Manipur, Nagaland and Jammu Kashimir. By 31-03-2021, the one nation and one ration card scheme will be implemented all over the country.
  • PSG won on Lyon 6-5 on penalties in the French League Cup final to achieve the French League Cup title.

2nd August 2020 Current Affairs:

  • Amith Shah the Union Home Minister has tested positive for covid19. He admitted in Medantha Hospital which is located at Gurugraam in Haryana near Delhi.
  • Vivek Ram Choudari, the Air Marshal selected as Commander in Chief of Indian Air Force’s WAC (Western Air Command).
  • United Arab Emirates is the first country in Arab World to produce nuclear energy as the Barakah Nuclear Plants successful launching.
  • FC Porto beaten Benfica by 2-1 and won the Portuguese Cup for the seventeenth time.

3rd August 2020 Current Affairs:

  • Rakhi Festival or Raksha Bandhan celebrated all over India with joy. This festival denotes special relation and bond between brother and sister.
  • Mumbai city stands in the first place to arrange traffic lights with female figures.
  • VIVO IPL will be launched from Sep 19 2020. And the final will be played on 10th Nov 2020. Indian Premiere League GC declared to conduct these games in UAE. The IPL matches will be played in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
  • United Kingdom is decided to minting a coin to commemorate Mahathmaa Gandhi.
  • The Space X Dragon Capsule reached Gulf of Mexico just south of Pensacola on Florida’s Gulf coast with two Astronauts, Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken. These two astronauts were sent to ISS (International Space Station) two months ago.

4th August 2020 Current Affairs:

  • VIVO has withdrawn as the title sponsor of the IPL for this year’s edition between row in the backdrop of the clashes b/w India and China troops in Ladakh in the month June, 2020.

5th August 2020 Current Affairs:

  • PM Modi performed Bhoomi Pooja and launched Grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya today.
  • Approximately 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate exploded which is stored in Beirut Port’s warehouse. In this destruction about 4000 people were killed and more than 100 killed.
  • In Srilanka polling is stopped for elections of 16th Parliament (225 members will be elected) regarding Covid 19 pandemic.

6th August 2020 Current Affairs:

  • Manoj Sinha, former Union Minister from BJP selected as the Lieutenant Governor of J&K. He will replace Girish Chandra Murmu who is resigned yesterday.
  • RBI monetary policy committee has declared to unanimously leave the policy repo rate unchanged at 4%.
  • On Thursday Japan marked 75 years first Atomic Bomb Blast Attack. Due to the atomic bomb attack on Hiroshima, over 140,000 people suffered with radiation and burns and other severe injuries.

7th August 2020 Current Affairs:

  • Girish Chandra Murmu, former J ank K governor is selected as next Comptroller Auditor General. He will replace Rajiv Mehrishi.
  • 7th August is National Handloom Day. We celebrate this day to remember the Swadeshi Movement that is started on this day in the year 1905 in Calcutta.
  • Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will offer funding of $ 150 million to SII (Serum Institute of India). This institution is going to manufacture 100 million doses of corona pandemic vaccines for low and middle income countries and India.
  • Aravind Kejriwal started Electric Vehicles Policy. To eradicate air pollution problem in Delhi Delhi government is planning to implement rapid adoption of EVs (Electric Vehicles).
  • UPSC new Chairman is Dr. Pradeep Kumar Joshi.

24th August 2020 Current Affairs:

  • The ICC on Sunday declared the recent inductees in ICC’s Hall of Fame Jacques Kallis, Lisa Shtalekar nd zaheer Abbas. These retired legends will form the class of 2020.
  • Bayern Munich won the champions league title for the sixth time. It defeated Paris Saint – Germain in the Champions League in Lisbon.
  • A ropeway has been launched on Brahmaputhra today. It is the longest ropeway in India.
